So I got up this morning and there were a whole bunch of Access Violation error boxes from the SDM on my PC screen this morning, and the PH log was full of
12/21/07 08:28:21.383 27 &nbs p; SmartHome Device Manager ISRESPONDING command failed for Insteon PLC POWERLINC. Attempting to restart controller...
since about 6AM.
I exited PH and SDM said it still had one active com link, so I rebooted, and all was well.
Since I -didn't- have to reset or power-cycle the actual Powerlinc, this feels like a PH-related failure. (though I guess it could be an SDM failure). I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this and whether there's a way to code things so that it will recover by itself.
I guess I'm concerned because this is new to me - never had a controller lockup in the 11 months I used Houselinc, and never in the prior n years I used Activehome, and, hey, reliability is what its about, right? 8-}
thanks in advance for any thoughts
Thanks!
/j
