          Hi All,

For some reason the web server is no longer presenting pages. I get the web user id and password screen, but do it displays a blank page.

If I try localhost it of course bypasses the login, and just displays a blank page.

I've rebooted PC, restarted PowerHome, you name it.

 Any ideas?

 Thanks

I figured it out. Apparently my router somehow started using port 80 and was interfering with the Power-Home web server on port 80. I couldn't find out how the router was using port 80, so to get Power-Home to work again, I moved it to port 8080 and of course I now have to use localhost:8080 or 127.0.0.1:8080 to get it to work, but at least it's working.

Apparently 80 is commonly used by other apps. I had the same problem and also switched to 8080 and have not had a problem since.

8080 is commonly used by proxy servers, which of course is not normally found in homes so no issue there. All you need to do is set it to 81

80 is the default for ALL web interfaces. Some routers allow configuration over the web and that will be the port 80. I have various webservers running on various machines. I access them externally using different ports from 80 thru 85 I think and letting my router point them to the right place.

So Cicero, what is your recommendation for my simple home LAN that may go through a router or 2. Would we better off using 81 instead of 8080 ?

since you don't have a proxy server, and most likely won't have one, I wouldn't worry about it. I just keep mine in the 80 range, no particular reason
