Dave

I've been trying to find some discrete codes for my equipment, and in the process I have been adding buttons to the IR devices.  Not all these things have worked, so I've attempted to remove some of these buttons. . . Here in lies the bug.  You can never really get rid of a button once you have initially defined it.  The buttons on longer in the list for your IR device continue to show up in the tab.  My temporary solution has been to move them off screen.

Bob,

To get rid of buttons in the IR screen, you must go to the screen above where you define the equipment.  Change the number of buttons to the value you want.  If its less than it was before, the extra rows will be deleted.  If its more, then extra rows will be added.  The rows added / deleted will come off the end.

Before the changes will be relected in the Control Center, you'll need to save the changes in the Explorer by double-clicking, closing, or changing the Explorer window.  Close and reopen the Control Center and the buttons will be gone.

Dave.

We got to do this slowly cause I'm dealing with a "MicroBrain".  The problem as I see it is that:

1) Explorer / IR / (In device line) Number buttons (add some)

2) IR / Device / Define Buttons

3) Reinit

4) Select tab / move buttons / test (Darn they don't work right)

5) Explorer / IR / (In device line) Number of Buttons (reduce number)

6) Reinit

7) Select Tab (The buttons are still there!)

Is there something other than "Reinit" that I need to do?

Bob

Bob,

No problem :)

After you've reduced the number of buttons, double click the row or click the button to the left to go to the IR details.  Verify that the extra rows are no longer there.  If your Control Center is windowed instead of background, just close the Control Center and then reopen it.  If your Control Center is set to be a background, then reinit.

If that doesn't do the trick, let me know and we'll troubleshoot further.

Dave.
