ID: IR. USB-UIRT IR Controller.
Firmware: 5.9
Protocol Supported: 1.1
Firmware Date: 2004-3-26
API Version: 256
IR Codes appear in the event log, i get an error about a timeout whenever i attempt to auto-learn or record codes though.
Any ideas?

I have some plans for the USB-UIRT, and this problem is still there.
Anyone?

As an update:
I have used the USB-UIRT Learner Utility to learn some codes.
When i enter them into powerhome, everything appears fine. However when it transmitts them, they do not work. The led dosnt stay lit as long as when the Leaner utility transmits them (which does work)

I have/had the same exact issue. I haven't had a chance to report it to Dave. If continuously keep trying to AUTO-LEARN until it finally works. Try holding the remote "right on" the sensor until it turns red.

I have a USB-UIRT that works fine with PowerHome. I don't think I used any "learn" settings. I just looked in the event log after I pressed buttons on my remote to get the codes, then pasted them in where appropriate.
I love the UIRT because it picks up signals from my Harmony 880 even when it's aimed down at the carpeting.

I seem to be able to get it to learn most of the time now. It learns the correct codes, however it fails to transmit them correctly.
Any ideas? Dave?

Allan,
Can you post some examples of the learned codes? I might be able to see what the problem is.
Thanks,
Dave.

Allan,
UIRTSTRUCT is probably not the best mode. This mode stores the least amount of information about the IR code is definately not as reliable as the others.
For testing purposes, I would set the record type to PRONTO and restart or reinit PowerHome. The Incoming code you posted looks OK and the UIRTSTRUCT code doesnt look out of the ordinary, but posting a Pronto code would give more information. Also, is it a particular remote that is having problems or is it a problem with every remote that you try to learn. One last thing as well, post what your settings for the USB-Uirt are. Several of the settings are very critical for the proper learning of IR commands.
Let me know,
Dave.
