I saw Dave's earlier message about interpreting the Insteon reports. I have a few questions.
1) On Event03 - these are indication of number of times to repeat a command, correct? I have one device sitting at 3.2 average. Is that too high? What does one do to improve?
2) What does COMM Count mean? I have a device (not the same one as in 1) that has a COMM count higher than others. It is 36. What does this mean? Interestingly the Insteon controller and this device are not more than 6" apart (but plugged into seperate outlets in the same room). I don't seem to have any NAKs (on any device).

I believe that Comm Count simply means, the number of communications that have occurred. Doesn't mean too much.
I believe the event03s indicate how many times a command was repeated before the device "ACKed" or "NAKed".
To improve (reduce) the number of event03, look for two types of things. Things that eat signals, and things that mask signal (make electrical noise).
Things that eat signals can be computers, laptop power supplies, A/V equipment, etc.
Things that can mask signals can be Florescents, transformers, DC Motors, low-voltage power supplies, etc.
If possible remove the offenders from the environment. Otherwise, there are three things you can do:
1. Run the offending equipment through Filters to reduce their effect.
2. Put in SignalLincs to strengthen the signal on long runs.
3. Put in more devices that make the signal stronger.

Al,
Viper has you covered. He is correct about the COMM Count as well...it's merely a count of the number of times that PowerHome has attempted communications with a device. Typically, KeypadLincs will have higher COMM counts since they usually have more links.
