Dave,
Since forever and currently I have been using X-10 controllers and devices. They have served me well and reasonably reliably over
the last 40 odd years and still work well today. Perhaps, sadly, it's time to move on. I am looking to use newer devices with
newer features.
I am looking, perhaps, to use TP-Link. They make plug type modules and 'smart' light bulbs; which are the types of devices I would
use. I have tried each of these devices and I can set them up using their app and an internet configuration on a 'guest WiFi
network' so the devices don't have access to my intranet and local LAN, but of course, I would want to use them "offline" from the
WEB and only through PH.
I read your information in the PH help, but I would like to get more information on how you set up the usage in PH.
Can you please discuss the controller model # that you used, and quirks in the configurations and the devices you tried, and maybe,
if necessary, screen shot some simple code use cases.
Any information would be useful.
