How do I relocate the \powerhome directory to another drive? It is currently on my c: drive and I recently upgraded my c: drive to an SSD and the activity on the \powerhome directory is killing the SSD's life. It is down to 92% in less than a month.

Hi,
I have a similar configuration. To minimize disk accesses, I run PH on a RAM drive. I copy the
database to Drive-C only once a day, at midnight, or if I make some changes to my app.
To start PH, I have a .BAT that copies the necessary files and directories to the RAM disk.
Just my suggestion.

Renard,
Most of the drive activity is going to be the result of the eventlog database being written to. You can easily relocate this to another drive by
editing your pwrhome.ini file. This will be at the very top of the file under the [Database] section.
Of course, you'll want to first shut PowerHome down. Then copy/move the database files from their current location to the new location. Edit the
pwrhome.ini file and restart PowerHome.
Most activity will be in the eventlog file so if you want to just move that, you can. The main database will be updated as device status changes and
the like so for maximum longevity, you can move that file as well.
The only other file that may get written to is pwrhome.ini but that will be very infrequent. It would only happen when you make changes to the Setup
section of PowerHome Explorer or when window sizes/positions change will won't be very frequent.

DBs relocated. Works perfectly. Given the increased use for SSDs for the system drive, others may have the same issue. With Core i5- level CPUs or better, bootup is a few seconds. Program startup is basically instantaneous. Magic!

That's great to know. I've literally ordered an SSD
drive earlier today. Looking forward to setting it up.
