I tried upgrading to the latest release from 1.03.3. I renamed the directory, installed the new version, copied the INI and db files over, ran the upgrade utility and all went fine. When I tried to launch the new release I received the following error in a popup:

An error occurred while trying to retrieve the value for:
EMAIL|RESTRICTCTRLEMAILADDRS

I tried editing the new INI by turning the section off and even adding an email address. The error still persisted.

Please Advise

MJH,

When upgrading, some part of the process did not work properly and your pwrhome.ini file did not get upgraded correctly.

The proper section for a default [EMail] block should look like:

[EMail]
ENABLEEMAILCTRL=NO
RESTRICTCTRLEMAIL=YES
RESTRICTCTRLEMAILADDRS=
DELETEPROCESSEDCTRLEMAIL=YES
MAPILOGIN=
MAPIPASSWORD=

Make sure you have this section (and only one section) in your pwrhome.ini file.

BTW, if you get the same kind of error with a different value after correcting this, you should be able to go to your PowerHome directory and you'll find a pwrhome.10343.ini file. This ini is a copy of the default pwrhome.ini file for new installations. You should be able to copy and paste what you need out of it to get your pwrhome.ini file up and running. If you think it's easier you may also copy the pwrhome.10343.ini file over your pwrhome.ini file and then just reconfigure your settings in the "Setup" section of the PowerHome Explorer.

Let me know if you have any problems.

Dave.

Thank you Dave. I replaced the section and found another block what was wrong too. In lieu of debugging the entire INI, I copied the orginal and just reset all of the "Setup" pages. All is well and sincerely appreciate the prompt response.... Cheers and GO EAGLES !
