and link it to the switch.

Then make all the Triggers fire against the Virtual
 Device.

I have done that, and linked the Virtual Dvc and switch
together, but changes to neither one cause corresponding
 changes to the other.

Worse, If I test the Virtual Dvc with a

function [where DWN STR MONITOR is the Virtual Device] I
always get a "0" returned no matter what the state of the
Real Dvc is as show in the Device Status Window.

Any ideas, or thoughts? I thought a Virtual Device was
supposed to track the state of its linked counterpart. Or
in the Quantum sense, that they were 'entangled!'

This is just a "goose" of this topic. My home theater

I'm using a URC MX-980 Universal Control, which is
extremely capable, thus it controls some things directly
and more complex items I control from a PH Trigger off
the MX-980 key press. The problem is that for some
reason about 5% of the time PH misses the Trigger and
only the remote initiated actions occur. Clearly this
results in strange action sequences, and is not good.

I'm thinking that if I create a virtual THEATER device
and put it in the Responders area of the Remote Links,
then that virtual device will perhaps get reliably set
and thus serve as a more accurate trigger than the PH
Direct Trigger. Just saying, you know?

Anywho, my new Virtual Device never responds to linked
real world events. Am I totally misunderstanding the
design of the Virtual Device approach?
