It would be great to have a refresh button on the Log page. As far as I can tell, the only way to refresh the log is to close the window and then reopen it (of course, I may not have found the proper way to refresh the log ...).
Also - when I select Powerhome Explorer from the icon menu at the top of the page, PH opens a new Explorer window. For my tastes, it would be better to have PH go back to the existing window (if one were open).
Hope these thoughts are helpful. I think PH is great, because of Insteon control (much better than Smarthome...)

To refresh the Event log, just press the "F5" key. This is under the Reports menu as "Reselect" and should allow you to reselect any of the standard PowerHome reports.
You can also get a realtime updated eventlog in the PowerHome Status screen (Alt-F8). You can scroll the Status screen so that the Eventlog is at the top of the screen and then resize the eventlog to fill the whole screen. If you edit the pwrhome.ini file and go to [PowerHome Status], you can change the parameter "EventLogRows" and make it a large enough value to fill the whole screen.
You can rearrange and resize all of the individual windows of the Status screen so that the Eventlog is always on top and filling the whole screen if you desire. Just right-click in the status screen when you're happy with the layout and hit "Save" from the Popup menu.
I'll look into adding a config option so that you can specify whether PowerHome will open multiple Explorers or only one.
It's been a long time since Ive looked at HouseLinc. What specifically do you like better about PowerHome? What function do you think HouseLinc performs better at?
Appreciate the comments.
Dave.

Thanks - very helpful. I didn't mean Smarthome (Houselinc), I meant Homeseer. I actually think Homeseer is better than Powerhome because of all the plugins - but PH is superior (far superior) on INSTEON control, and that is really what matters to me.

Ive gotcha.
Hopefully we'll start to narrow that gap with the first iteration of the generic plugin architecture (next release) followed shortly with the controller plugin architecture .
