All of a sudden, the Gobal Variables link on my PH main page does not work (the link to ph-cgi/globalvar?)!

Any suggestions on what to check?

Tony,

I had to think on this one a little while.  My guess however is that one of your GV's has a bad character in it which is causing the webpage to not load properly.  I'll bet that there is a single or double quote as one of the values.  If I remember correctly, this is a problem that Im fixing in the next version but if you could provide me with any details as to what character is messing things up, I can be doubly sure to get it fixed.

Im not at my devel machine at the moment so could give you a better answer tommorrow.

Dave.

Checking...

Wow! It was just a line-feed ($0a)!

Tony,

Whoa!!  I wasn't expecting that.  In what format was the line-feed??  PowerHome's linefeed is an escape sequence (~n).  If you could give me a little more info on how the linefeed got there, I can duplicate and try to eliminate the error.

Thanks,

Dave

It was in a string grabbed from a web page; just an ASCII line feed (10, $0a, &h0a, 0x0a, whatever your preference  ).

Hey! I've been trying to get a line feed to work for awhile now and here it is hidden in problem. I've got to spend more time on this bulletin board I guess.
