Ah so, very very wise one.
I know I tried shift-click and could swear I tried Ctrl-
Click many times, but never as the first thing. I
probably confused the heck out of the selection
algorithm.
Now that I know the "trick" it works as advertised.
This is a VERY NICE feature and will be extremely
helpful.
Great job on this release.
BTW- I notice in the powerhome folder there is a
"phupg.exe" as well as a "phupg_all.zip"
What is the difference between those two and when should
which be used?

Upgraded from 2.1.4 to 2.1.5... I have a very old, yet reliable, PLC (2414U) which now does not connect via PH but responds accordingly via SDM. PH gives an error saying that SDM ISRESPONDING command failed for Insteon PLC CONTROLLER, 5 times before aborting and leaving me with no acccess to my Insteon lighting network.
I copied over my old DB and ini files and changed nothing else after the 2.1.5 installation. Did something change in this new version which might have caused my controller (set as controller = "Insteon DM" in PH) to not connect?
SDM reports USB port #4 upon my issuing the "getport" command. Additionally, "isresponding" comes back "true".
Thanks in advance for your help!

The 2.1.4 db files are incompatible with 2.1.5
You need to run the "phupg.exe" program on your old db to
convert it to the new 2.1.5 format. The "phupg.exe" utility
is located in the powerhome program folder (c:powerhome/).
Run that first, then start the new PH program.

My install was kinda flaky, so, I uninstalled and reinstalled. The second time, something went wrong, and now, phupg is failing with a general error.
Dave has been working with me via email. Will advise progress.

Dave,
I know you're really busy, but maybe something to add to the list would be to have the new cut and paste feature work for editing the CC also.
Thanks,

Basically clean install. First time went to upgrade db and pbvm115.dll was missing. Uninstalled and reinstalled and it worked. Fired up PH and it got all tangled up with link status so did a clear PLM and add full. Shutdown PH and restarted and everything is working fine for now.

Welcome Peter to the new and wonderful world of 2.1.5
So far I have been fortunate in that the install went flawlessly, and I've been up and running now for several days.
I'm now starting to play with some of the new features, especially the ph_postexequeue function.
Which brings me to a question Dave.
Using this new queueing function in the Boolean field of a trigger, I wish to trigger on two different Insteon Commands (ifaston & ifastoff).
Will this formula work in the Boolean field to do that?
case([TEMP9] when 18, 20 then ph_postexequeue(2,0,"KITCHEN MACRO") else 0)

Just answered my own question by trying it.
It works beautifully!
At last a rapid response to a double-tap on the light switch by the room doorway. As I'm leaving the room, that double-tap is supposed to turn off ALL of the room lights, but it was often 30 seconds before that happened depending on what PH was doing at the moment.
Now it seems to work in seconds.

Ken, I just got back from a month off. But I did run my production system on 215 in May. It is running much cleaner now. Now to get down to the enhancements we discussed.

Forgot to mention that I did that database upgrade before I attempted to run 2.1.5. I just ran phupg.exe again but PH still fails to see my PLC. :(
Any other ideas which I can try?

Hi Dave:
Something I thought I would mention real quick as being
obvious to everyone but me, I extracted the Upgrade
utility manually and then tried to run the executable
from the folder, and I received an R00021 Error, Error in
line 20. After fiddling with it a bit, I went into the
start menu to look at the control panel, and I noticed
that there was an icon for the Upgrade utility. Using
that icon the upgrade was successful. Just a quick hint
in case anyone else is smart like me.
Mike
Update I have the same Interface hardware is minnegopher,
2414U and I also had the same problem that he is having.
For me, the install is on a Win7x32 system.

Thanks for making mention of a similar 2414U issue, mmunnelly... hopefully we can get to the bottom of it. I'm running WinXP, here, btw.

A little glitch. It seems some of the macro calls are missing the underscore between the names when the upgrade utility is run. I believe it is happening in the conversion. So far I've found 2 but don't have a reason yet.

FYI,
I have about 282 macros and based on your observation, I checked mine, and some, maybe 5% are also missing the underscore in their names.
My system is fully functioning, so I checked the triggers and timed events, and interestingly, all the macros that are missing the underscore also have their timed event or trigger missing the underscore so the naming is consistently in error. Maybe I'm lucky...
Whatever made this error is making it in all three places.
Good catch!
I only ran the conversion once, not multiple times.
Just my $.04

From what I understand the VSP is not needed for the Insteon Hub. So how do I configure it? Maybe I've gone brain dead....

This is a long shot, as I would guess you have already
checked it, but is there any chance the USB port number
in your PH Setup is pointing to the incorrect port?
I don't recall what PH defaults that port number to, but
it is usually not correct when I do new installs and I
have to go to Device Manager and get some idea of what
USB ports are connected to something, and then play with
the PH Setting until I find the correct PLM port.
NOTE: DAVE - It would be a nice feature to have an "auto
find" function in PH that locates the correct USB port.

DAVE, where do you want these bug reports. This may be the wrong thread.
Anyways here is another. Auto Message can not be terminated without taking PH down.

2.1.5 Bug Report
When the "Reinit" button in PH is used it does NOT fire
TRIGGER TYPE=System Process
TRIGGER ID=Startup
This trigger works OK when PH starts up by executing the
the .exe, but fails to Trigger on Reinits (which used to
fire the trigger OK)

Ken,
The phupg.exe only upgrades database version 2.1.2 to 2.1.5. If you've got an older version (say 2.1b or earlier), then you would have to unzip the database and executable to upgrade version 2.1b to 2.1.2 and then run the phupg.exe to upgrade to 2.1.5. The phupg_all.zip contains all the databases and ungrade utils to upgrade all the historical versions and is only necessary if you werent already on the latest.
Dave.

minnegopher,
Nothing should have changed (purposely) but its possible there was something inadvertent. Couple of things to try. First, manually launch the SDM and connect to your PLC. Leave this copy running and then launch PowerHome. Can PH connect to it? If the first doesnt work, then that would tend to indicate a problem with the phsdm.ocx file. Second thing to try is re-registering this file by running as administrator (this is important) the regsvr32.exe. What I like to do is open a command prompt by right clicking on it in the menu and selecting "Run as Administrator". From the command prompt, navigate to the PowerHome directory with cd\powerhome. Then run . You should get the DLL register successfully completed message.
Lets see where this gets us and then go from there.
Dave.
