I think it'll be fine just driving it from PH. We shall see...
I just hooked up the wires again, and it seems that the EZIO is flooding the line with status updates. It stops when I pull the wires.
Does this make sense?

Lock Input 3&4 to GND. Or use 10K 1/4 or 1/2 watt resisters to 5V as pullup resisters if those Inputs will be used at some point as digital inputs. If the Configuration Register has been set to enable the analog inputs (inputs 3&4 operating in analog mode) then they have to be pulled away from GND with resisters to 5V or have some true analog signal connected. If 3&4 are locked to GND in analog mode, the default analog trigger points are zero which will also cause the inputs to fire.
EDIT: I assume the broadcasts are coming from Input 3&4 status changes because they are floating. If they are coming from Input 1&2 then there is something wrong with the switches they are connected to that is providing an intermittent GND connection representing an ON state. If the initial suggestions do not resolve the problem post what connections you have and to what inputs.

Thanks! 3 & 4 to ground did it.
A 500 ms short opens/closes the door, but it also resets the clock. Trying less than 500...
Bah. Even 100 ms wipes the time.

I have Wayne-Dalton idrive openers which are all RF devices, including the wall mounted unit inside. I was able to solder two wires across the immediate open push button mounted on the printed circuit board.

I'm feeling lazy so I'll just live with the clock reset.
